Teeth Cleaning

When was the last time you checked inside your dog's mouth? Are you concerned with your dog's bad breath? Are you worried by the thought of putting your dog under aesthetic at the vets to have their teeth cleaned? If so then the Emmi-Pet teeth cleaning system could be your answer.

Pet Teeth Cleaning

85% of dogs have some form of dental health issues by the time they reach the age of 3 and have never had their teeth cleaned.

Many owners simply don't notice their dogs teeth until it’s too late and veterinary intervention may be required, which can be costly and comes with anaesthetic risks

Dogs develop plaque when saliva, food particles and bacteria accumulate. If plaque is left untreated this combines with minerals in the mouth and forms hard tartar on the teeth.

What Does The Emmi-Pet Teeth Cleaning Service Do:

  • Removes plaque from the tooth's surface
  • Micro nano-bubbles work to lift the tarter from the teeth
  • No noise, vibrations or movement
  • Destroys bacteria
  • Reduces mouth odour
  • Reaches 12mm under the gums
  • No abrasive particles
  • Improves blood circulation in gums, reducing inflammation

What Is It & How Does It Work:

The Emmi-Pet tooth cleaning system is a unique and patented dental care system. It is gentle, motionless and does not involve any brushing or abrasive action. So it is not stressful for your dog, neither will it damage their teeth.

The brush uses ultrasound to clean, this is developed by a pizzo-electric chip in the brush head. This generates up to 96 million ultrasonic waves (air vibrations) per minute. These ultrasound waves are then transferred, through the bristles of the toothbrush head. Using Emmi-pet's specially formulated toothpaste, the ultrasound reacts with the paste to produce thousands of micro nano-bubbles which react with the Ultrasonic waves and implode on the surface of the tooth.  These implosions work effectively to eliminate and remove food particles, plaque and bacteria from within your pet’s mouth.

Emmi-pet tooth cleaning works to combat gingivitis, periodontitis, oral cavity diseases, plaque, tartar build up and bad breath.

Before & Afters

Questions & Answers

  • Do I need to be an existing dog grooming customer:

Not at this time. We are currently able to take on a limited amount of new clients for this service.

  • Does my dog need to have a grooming session at the same time as having their teeth cleaned:

No this is not necessarily the case. However, to reduce any stress on your dog, a separate appointment may be best for some dogs. If a dental clean is combined  with the grooming session they would be spending a lot of time on the table. Please speak directly to us to determine the suitability of your dog having both appointments at the same time.

  • How long does each dental session last:

Typically, first session takes between 45 - 60 minutes.

Subsequent sessions last between 20-30 minutes

  • Can I bring more than 1 dog for treatment at the same time:

Yes, we normally have several dogs in with us at the same time for grooming and dental cleaning. For most dogs we find having time to free run and play with our other clients, reduces any stress they may be feeling.  However, we do have facilities to separate dogs if required.

  • What is your cancellation policy:

We require at least 1 working days’ notice (Tuesday to Saturday) of cancellation so we have a chance to book another appointment in. Failure to give this notice period will result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the treatment cost, before further appointments can be made.

  • Do you have separate Terms and Conditions for dental cleaning:

Yes of course. Before any dental cleaning treatment is given, we will ask you to sign a consent form which clearly outlines these T’s & C’s.  For clarity this form can be found using the link below.

  • Are there any reasons why you may not be able to complete this service:

If your dog has dental disease that has progressed to the point beyond where it is safe for us to carry out this service, we would stop any treatment and recommend a visit to your vets before we would restart. This can be because of broken, cracked, wobbly teeth, decayed teeth, gum disease or any other obvious abnormality visible or suspected in the mouth.

  • My dog does not have any plaque or tarter build up, do they need their teeth cleaning?

Just like us regular teeth cleaning is beneficial to prevent any build-up of plaque and growth of bacteria in the mouth. The Emmi-Pet system cleans teeth up to 12mm into the gums ensuring cleanliness, even where you can't see it.  It also promotes blood flow in the gums and prevents gum disease.

  • I have a puppy, when is a good time to start dental cleaning:

Now is the best time. Everything is new to a puppy but they are much more accepting of being introduced to treatments at this age.  Also as their puppy teeth should be nice and clean anyway, we would not expect them to need any plaque removal, so they can simply have a maintenance clean when they come in for their regular groom session. For this reason, we have added an introduction to teeth cleaning to our Puppy Grooming Introduction package. This will involve an additional £10 charge to cover their own toothbrush head.
